Libya’s foreign minister Abdulati Alobidi, has condemned recent NATO strikes on Tripoli, and added that the alliance’s bombing of civilian targets should be regarded as a “call for all free people of the world and for all Muslims to initiate a global jihad against the oppressive, criminal West.” Abdulati Alobidi added that NATO was a barbarian, murderous organization, which is supported and funded by criminal governments and criminal politicians, reports the Washington Post. Later in the day, Libyan information minister Moussa Ibrahim remarked the call for jihad was no reason for violence. NATO officials acknowledged it was possible that an air-strike carried out in Tripoli early on Sunday had killed non-combatants.
